Investment Update : West Fountain Parallel Fund invested in Series A of GROOVE X

In December 2017, West Fountain Global Fund LP ("West Fountain”) and Shenzhen Capital Group Company ("SCGC") completed round A investment in Japanese affective robot company GROOVE X, Inc. ("GROOVE X"), and other investors also included Innovation Network Corporation of Japan and Mirai Creation Fund.

The company says its "affective companion robot Lovot" is the only robot in the world that can heal the mind, allowing you to fall in love with it like a family member, partner or loved one, and to do so, Lovot has a touch-detecting sensor under a soft plush head with a temperature-aware camera to better track the user's movements and use artificial intelligence to simulate the behavior and emotions of living things, allowing the robot to react to human emotions and give the robot a greater sense of "life" when interacting with people.

GROOVE X is a Japanese robotics company founded by Mr. Kaname Hayashi, former director of robotics technology development at Softbank. GROOVE X is committed to building trust between humans and robots based on artificial intelligence and sensing technology, making people and robots accompany each other to provide a richer and safer life.
